Fix for Pets glitches

As promised, i would write how i fixed my technical problems in my game for the last three days. Well, first of all i had a problem that is known by many of you, downloaded content wasn't functional. I mean for example chairs, tables and bed were not working as they should be. Sims were not sitting IN the chairs, but outside of them, or when they were sleeping in a bed, they couldnt get up and move anymore or they had this strange look while sleeping. Oh and for me the most annoying part of all: the tables. I couldn't place any object on a table without seeing them fall right through it. Well, there are two famous programs that could help you. I tried them both with much effort, but i choose the best program out of it: Grant's Rig Fix.
First of all, thank to Grant or this amazing program and his effort to make it as comfortable as possible for us!
The other program was from The Sims Resource (TSR), but for this program you need a valid granny2.dll wich can't be find anywhere, so that's not worth the effort if theres an even better program, yes again: Grant's Rif Fix.
I found that there's no simple instruction or 'how-to-use' for this program, so i decided to help some people out there and fix them problem wich is there for probably near a year now, if it isn't more.

Download

First of all, you will need to download the Grant's Rig Fix. That can be done here:
Unfortunatly I couldn't find this file anywhere since mine was expired!
If anyone has it still, let me know!

How-To-Use

Step 1: First always make a back-up before you're starting anything! So back up from now. You might want to copy the whole 'Sims 3' folder in my documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3 and paste it somewhere outside of the 'Electronic Arts' folder. I recommend your desktop.

Step 2: Now after you downloaded Grant's Rig Fix from the link above, you'll see it is packed in a winrarfile. if you don't have winrar on you pc you might want to download it, its free:
http://www.winrar.nl/ (choose your language and bit)
After you have winrar or if you allready have winrar, you right-click on the Rig Fix and choose 'Extract here'.

Step 3: A few files show up. You will need all of those files in order for Rig Fix to work. If you dubble-click on the Rig Fix.exe nothing will happen, that's normal, cause thats now how the program works.
The only thing you have to do now is create a shortcut from the Rig Fix.exe on your desktop.
Ok, you can leave the Rig Fix alone for a bit now, cause first we will do some work on you downloaded content a.k.a packages and sims3packs.

Step 4: One thing you should know: Rig Fix does NOT work on sims3.packs, but no need to wine, theres a way to fix your sims3packs with Rig Fix, it's just different, but i'll explain.

Step 5: If you're opening My documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages you will find in there the packages that you downloaded. You can select them all and drag them all to the shortcut-icon from Rig Fix you made on step 3. It's recommended to drag them one by one into the Rig Fix desktop-icon, but since i had a few hundres packages i dragged them all and everything was fine. It doesnt matter what the packages are, tables, desks, bowls etc. If theres something the Rig Fix can't fix or is not ment for the Rig Fix, it will not change anything on the package. So it's safe to drag everything into the Rig Fix shortcut-icon.
When you drag packages into the Rig Fix, you'll see a black window pops up, does some work where you will not have to do anything except waiting till the black windows says: 'Press any key to continue...' then press any key and the window closes itself, you're packages are fixed now!

Step 6: But you're not done yet. In you're 'mods' folder were you dragged the packages from, you will see now that theres files named: BAK.files. That files are simply you're old packages before you putted them into the Rig Fix. The packages.files are now the new fixed files.
It's recommended that you dont delete the BAK.files untill you checked if you're downloaded content has fixed by the the Rig Fix. If so, you may delete all the BAK.files in the 'mods' folder.

Step 7: In case you have sims3packs that you want to have fixed, you should open My Documents/Electronic Arts/The sims3/DCBackup folder. In there you will find all the packages that are actually sims3packs. They might be in a bigger ammount than your sims3packs, cause sometimes sims3packs have several packages inside of them, so in the DCBackup folder you will end up with all the packages that were inside of the sims3packs. You can drag also all of that packages into the Rig Fix shortcut-icon and do the same as you did in step 5.
You generally can NOT put more than 200/300 files into the Rig Fix, so you might wanna do it in parts.

Step 8: We are at the last step now. You will go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The sims 3/DCCache folder. In that folder you find a files named 'dbc' at the end of the file. Just drag the files with 'dbc' at the end into the Rig Fix and it will do the same work as the packages in step 5 and 7.
Now you're downloaded content might work in the game, so you can check it! Good luck;)

If theres any problem, feel free to ask.
And again, credit to Grant for this program!
