Modern Stone House

A rich modern feeling

After all the old looking houses, i wanted to create a bit of a modern, stylish look. This house has the perfect ammoount of stuff in it too look rich, but still be very functional. It's not loaded with much stuff, but exactly what was needed and it really looks nice and modern.
I had a single business-man living in it and there was also room to for a wife eventually.
Oh, and dont forget that the garage that i filled up with work-stuff can be turned into a babiesroom, so i think it's a great house to start a small family in or just live there by yourself:)

Old Wood House 2

I'm back! And yes... With a wood house!

Hi everyone! Again my appologies for the long delay, but ill make it up to you. I upload lots of houses and worlds and this is one of them. My first upload for today represents an old wood house again!
As i promised, i'll not upload so many pictures and description every time, cause it's just eating my time and motivation.  I will keep it simple and clear with a few pictures and from time to time some details.

I made this house a while ago, probably more than 1 year so i dont really remember all the stuff i put into:p
I know it was a small house for a couple or single sim. It has a bit of an old cottage feeling and probably fits well for your evironment-friendly sims:)

Must say that i was insipired of many of the houses with little balcony's and an extra part sticking out of the house from the wood houses that i saw in Istanbul:) Enjoy this one!

Roma Beach House

A good inspiration

Im sorry for the delay about the two houses i supposed to upload. I decided not to write so much comments on every house i made anymore, cause then i can upload way more houses!
Ok, that doesnt mean i will not upload pictures from the furniture and stuff, i just wont write so much comments anymore on every picture. Nothing else changes and all houses will be still amazing!
So here comes my next house i finished months ago: Roma Beach House.

This is the front view of the house. Its a modern house with straight lines and soft, sandy colors to make it the ultimate beach house!

Just another view from the front to give you a full look of what i made.

This is the garden. Its on the side of the house, cause i meant to go straight into the sea from the back of the house. In the garden theres a bathtub, romantic and warm sitting area's and a barbeque, ofcourse:)
A slide of the livingroom, its a pretty big and open space when you enter the front door, wich is located behind the sofa as you can see. I choosed soft colors and continue the salmon color also in the house as well.

On the other side of the living room theres a stairs to go to the second floor where you can find the bedrooms. And yes theres much space for a large family!
I love the view when you're going to the stairs, i saw it ones in a magazine and reminded when building this house, it fits as well:)

This is in the serre and also the diningroom. When you eat here, you're surrounded by windows that show you the garden where you also can enter straight in
after finishing your meal. I wanted to keep it fresh and simple, so a little colorful flower made this
done.

The first bedroom. I made this one for a teenage girl. Didnt put so much details in it, caue i wanted to leave it straight. It doesnt mean theres no character in this room, cause there is.

Here is the master bedroom and a picture from a walk-in closet. I like this room cause it gives a great view from the bed to outside and it has soft colors. Maybe a bit feminine for the male but it's still good!

And another picture from the bed itself.
And ofcourse, a room for a teenage boy. Also here i didnt put much details and too many colors for the same reasons as i did in the girls bedroom. Just the things that are needed and some extra to make it specificly a boys room. The colors and soft, BUT fitting to a boys bedroom.

Theres one room more and thats a little office. You can create this as well into a bedroom if nessecary. Or leave it for your hard working sim who spends more time home-working than actually going to work. A way to go in a beach house!

The bathroom, simple and usefull. The bedroom is downstairs so you dont have to clime up every time you or a visitor needs to use the toilet. Or even more important, to wash you dogs!

Here are too pictures from the house made from abbove. The first picture is the first floor and the second picture is the second floor. To give you a better look what is inside the house.

Information:

- 3 bedrooms           - 2 floors
- 1 office                 - 1 garden with entertaining furniture
- 1 bathroom
- 1 open livingroom
- 1 open kitchen
- 1 balcon

Two more houses coming soon!

I finished a new house a few days ago and today i started with another one. The first house if a bit of modern this time and very suitable on or near a beach. I build it on Sunlit Tides, the perfect place for summer beach houses! Sunlit Tides is as download available on my blog, click here for the FREE Sunlit Tides.

The second house is again a wood house, bit this time real old with coffeebrown colored wood.
It's small, cute and not too expensive.
It's probably one of my last wood houses for now. After this one i have inspiration for one or 2 more, then I'll start a new serie of houses:)

Old Wood House

My favorite wood house!

* I know theres a problem with the entrance of the house, but i wasn't able to fix it yet. The problem is the extra foundation outside of the entrance and you might drag the foundation a bit into the house as well for this problem to be fix;) SORRY! It has been almost a month since i uploaded my last house. Well, here is my favorite wood house! I knew it would be great and yeah... it is.
I'm in love with the white old creamy look on the wooden panels. I choose to build it completely out of it. The wooden panels used as a small roof is just an amazing detail. I felt creating a garage from it, would give it that extra look and it did:) It turned out exactly as i wanted and i didnt even show you the inside of the house. Everything is perfectly copied from my mind, wich makes me more than proud.

Starting with the veranda where i didnt want to use stairs, cause that can be a little annoying when visitors arrive or so. Also i felt that this small platform would fit better after all. That little veranda is just a cute part of the house, also the flowers and the front door. I used some wooden details on the windows wich were very useful and needed for this house. It looks like you can close your windows with it, just like the old houses had! They are not functional in real, so i placed them all in different positions, to give a bit character. And the car is just a perfect fit, an old bright blue car.

The living room is in a little cute corner of the house with a view to the garden on side of the house. The door to the garden is direct next to the tv. I imagined this and there was a perfect space in the house to build it. I build this house with the thought of a young girl living in, so i decorated it with candles, magazined, flowers, detailed paintings, pastel colors and a sofa loaded with pillows. Its just a cosy part of the house to crawl up on the couch and enjoy the tv and the view.
And this is the kitchen where i choosed a little bit of old wooden kitchenclosets and on a wall witch a few windows to look at the veranda. Te dining table is also placed in the kitchen, but at the same time in the other part of the house. Well, simply because it's all in one room including the living room.
I choosed again girly furniture and pastel colors wich can actually be found in the whole house.
It's just about the kitchen here that is made of old soft wood colors. Oh and theres enough garden to grow your own vegetables and fruits again to cook with.

The dining table as you can see with a big chandelier on top of it. I just love this chandelier and i was searching for it a long time ago and finnaly found it and hey, it was perfect here as well.
The dining table has different chairs with different fabrics, i just loved them all and couldn't choose. It turned out to be quite amazing!
The wall behind the table was good for some white old wooden closets, tables and decoration on/in it like candles, books etc.
The mirror is lovely as well and again... a great fit!

Just a view from the kitchen to the dining table and a litte part of the sofa from the living room.
Everything im seeing on this picture are the exact objects to use in this old wood house.
i choosed to let the wooden walls decorate the inside of the house as well.
Just for some walls i choose a different look.
Also the ceiling is from wood. It MUST be all wood cause i didnt see different in the old wood houses i saw till now.

Ah, the bedroom. I created the curtains around the bedroom myself, cause i really like this style, but the original sims 3 bed like this, was not exactly what i wanted. The curtains are transparant and detailed as well. Lace curtains! Thats what we want in this house, right?!
The pillows behind the bed were just romantic and feminine, just as the canles on the desk under the window.
And everything had be white in the bed with pastel colored pillows and decoration in the room.

And there is the other side of the bedroom where you can find the closet, mirror, laundrybasker and ofcourse the way out to the balcon. I putted the curtains there as well, to give you that feeling when you're balcon door is open and the curtains are floating in the wind.
There was an amazing object created where it looks like your door or window is open just as you can see on the picture.
Behind the bedroom theres some extra space where i made sort of on office. I imagined that the girl living in this house, would be artistic and creative so she could write, draw on the drawing table, make sketches or something in this catagory in this specific room.
It's cute, small and perfect to do your work in.
Some bookshelves, a desk, a laptop and a drawingtable are enough to crawl up in your own creative world.

I couldn't really make a good picture from the bathroom, but i wanted to give you an idea how it looks like. I used everything with light colored wood and i putted a flower on the sink beside the window. For the rest, theres a bathtub, toilet and a shower in it.

This is where you can enter outside of the house, also known as the garden actually. It's again an open garden and enough space to grow your own food in your own garden. I created a little garden for it and places some green and flowers on it for the charachter.
Just a real natural place to live!

This is the first floor. It has a open living room, open kitchen and diningroom included. The bathroom is also placed on the first room to make things easier.
The stairs are big enough as well, so there will be no delay during climing on and off the stairs.

And this is the second floor and the last picture as well. It is also an open room wich includes the bedroom and the office i created for a creative exploitation.
It gives you entrace to the balcon on the front of the house where you can find the laundry line to hang your clothes. Yes, very much likely to an old wood house:)
It was a pleasure making this house, hope you'll enjoy it just like me!

Wood Cabin 2

Second Wood Cabin finnaly arrived!

Im happy to announce this news and a show this new house of my wooden house series. I had some problems with my game wich i fixed over the last few days so i couldn't really work on building my house.
Although, i found some interesting problem fixes and i will write about it later, cause first i want to show you guys my cute house in the farrest forest of Hidden Springs.

Let's start with the kitchen this time. I tried to make this house in a teint lighter wood with lighter green details, beige and white. It still gives you the feeling of a wooden house, but this is the modern part from the house (downstairs) so i wanted to keep in light and you know what...? It fits!
The kitchen gives a good view into the back garden and is not too small. The metal table was a perfect fit to the kitchen and some small flowers here and there gave the kitchen that extra akcent it was needing to make you feel 'home'.

I decided to pick a corner from the living room to build an small workplace. Again i used a metal table and wooden closets. I wanted to give this workplace a busy look so i added some books on the table, cause it was looking better messy. A too cleaned up room was not a fit in this corner. This is the only corner in the house where you can work, be messy and totally be away from the planet. That was my thinking when i build this part. It also gives you a great view into the backgarden wich you'll probably need from all the hard work. I'm seeing a young couple in this house with a busy working dad, a mom who cooks fresh from the garden and a young child/teenager.

This was just a great angle to shoot a picture from the sofa in the living room. As you can see, the kitchen, workspace and the living room are all sharing one room, but it totally looks like three seperate spaces where they can be used for just that things they should be used for.
The painting on the wall behind the table was just stunning and gives that cold winter feeling that was totally fitting with the lighter colors in the house.

This a taken from a different angle to show just the living room. It has windows all around and transparant curtains, cause i didnt want to cut all the view, but otherwise it would look too bold and thats not what we want. So this was a good option.
The sofa is a great object for this house. Behind it had wooden details. I added a few pillows on the sofa to give it that extra character. i also gave them all different fabrics, cause since the room had such light and equal colors, it could use some different styles in smaller objects.
The carpet is just amazing and makes that corner of the room just a little bit warmer and cosy.

maybe not one of the best shots, but the bathroom was just too small to take a good picture. I know theres a way to get the whole room in one image, but i thought this will give you an idea of how it looks. So, i used wood everywhere, to the sink-table, the showercabin, the bathtub and the toilet.
Because the windows were very large in there, i decided to put an wooden fence as high as the windows itself (that mean  from the ceiling to down). In this way theres a little bit more privacy, although you won't find many sims on the egde of the forest were i settled my house.

And here is the bedroom. I always wanted to have curtains around my bed, but i didnt seem to like the beds from EA, although i prefer EA's objects to keep it save and not risky for disfunctional objects, I found myself giving this bed a try and yes... it looked good at the end! I changed it into a better style of wood, gave a nice fabric to the curtains wich i used also on the drawers and i totally liked it!
The green of the plants was a need in the room and after all it really made me think of an old wood house. i added some details in the room and on the bed. Just love this room!

When i made this picture i didnt think it would be a good one to upload here, but now when i look at it, i think it shows how cosy and cute this room is. It's just an extra bedroom or for your child/teenager, whatever you decide. I tried to keep in in the middle and just addes in there what is generally needed. I kept the wooden details in there as well and just love how the room ends up in a corner with two windows on each side, perfect for a bookcase!

I didnt want to make a full garden, cause we're still in the woods. I thought i can leave an open field, add some trees so u can still feel its your ground, but not too much, cause in a forest you just have to walk further than your own garden.
I made a little garden were you can grow your own fruit and vegetables wich belongs to a wood house right? And later on to cook with in your kitchen that gave you that stunning view into this garden where you can grow you own things. Oh and on the balcon upstairs ofcourse a laundry line, cause that just fits with the old wood house on top of your house.

A little bit of a better view to your garden and the green details i add on the house. It couldnt be too much green, cause i think it would be kind of logic that greend would grow on a house like this.
This is the first floor. I had too zoom out a little bit, cause then you wouldn't see the garden and the car and since they are a part of the house, i didn't want to let them out.
Here you can see how the living room, workplace and kitchen are sharing the same room. Not much too say about this picture, its just to show what is inside and how i choosed to build and decorate it.
And here you can see the second floor and how the old wooden house floats on the first floor's modern part of the house. They are two seperate styles, but together they made a great house. On this floor you can see both of the bedrooms and in the hall a little space for anything you want to add. I allready added a laundrymachine in the corner, cause you might want to hang your laundry on the balcon and let it dry from the wind of the forest.
This is the last picture again. I enjoyed building it and i will ofcourse tell and show my inspiration later on... right under the info of the house.

Information:

- 1 living room         - 1 garden to grow you fruit
- 1 open kitchen      - 2 floors
- 1 workplace
- 1 garden
- 1 balcon
- 2 bedrooms
- 1 bathroome

Inspiration:

As i told in the last message from my first Wood Cabin, i was inspired by an old bakkery a few blocks away from my house here. It was exactly looking like this and this time i made sort of an copy and changed it a little bit in a way that was possible in The Sims 3 game. It was before probably an old wood house and later on they build under a new bakkery with modern features.
Well i think this was it. Next time i will be working on also old houses, but in a different style. Im going with old white wood and more detaild windows. I think that will be one of my favorite houses, so stay along!
Again i want to thank all the artists who made it possible for me to use great downloaded objects like these and i want to give much credit to them. Download is again available ofcourse, enjoy!
This is the bakkery i was insipred on (sorry for the bad quality, it was very dark):
